Mom goes Hi-tech

I bought my ma a computer as a belated mother’s day and bday. I had planned to salvage parts from three old computers to frankenstein a wintel box. Ehhh, it didn’t work out.So Dell had a special online: Dimension (model), P4 2.8, 256 ram (paltry), 40 gig HD, crappy CD-ROM, integrated periphs, and, most importantly, a 17" LCD flat panel monitor. $449 total. Not too bad.i’ve been giving her lessons on browsing the web, composing emails and searching for plane tickets. She doesn’t understand multiple application windows,scrollbars, element blurring and focussing and the “shift” + key = diff. character trick =)She’s enjoying it, although she understands little of how to use it.
